Application Process Timeline
Open House
We invite families to visit our school during two open houses typically held in December and February. Meet our teachers and families and come see firsthand what is so unique about a Montessori education. To be automatically notified about our open house dates, please click here.
School Visit and Observation
The best method for assessing whether our school is a good fit for your child is through direct observation. We encourage interested parents or guardians to visit and observe in one of our Children’s Houses or elementary classrooms. This is a wonderful opportunity to see how a Montessori curriculum is designed to meet the developmental needs of children. Following your observation, you will meet with the head of school. Observation is scheduled by appointment with minimal notice required.
Application
Preference for admission is given to those families who apply prior to the application deadline period. After [deadline date], applications will be considered on a rolling basis. A non-refundable fee of $50.00 is submitted on behalf of the child applicant. [click here for application]
New Applicant Visit
After parents or guardians submit an application for enrollment, a child’s visit is scheduled in January. The purpose of this visit is to gain additional information about the family and child in order to make the best possible placement decision. Children visit in small groups with teachers while their parents speak with faculty and become more familiar with the school.
Prospective Parent Evening
This is the last part of the application process. It gives families an opportunity to meet with other families and the head of school and have an open discussion where additional questions may be addressed. Attendance is required to complete the application process.
Admission
Acceptance letters are mailed after March 15. Successful applicants will be required to complete an enrollment contract and respond within 30 days complete with a tuition deposit of $500 which is applied to the first year tuition.
Parent Orientation
Following enrollment to the program, a new parent orientation is scheduled in late spring to welcome families to Adams Montessori School community. New families are welcomed by host families to help make a smooth transition. In the fall new children are gradually introduced into the classroom community with shortened days during the first week.
