Andrea Lang

Upper Elementary Teacher
Andrea grew up on the North Shore and has been finding her purpose and feeling at home in a Montessori environment since she was a young child. She attributes her love of teaching, life-long learning, and math to her roots as a Montessori child herself. Andrea earned a BA in Elementary Education, Massachusetts Elementary 1-6 licensure, and Montessori Elementary 6-12 credential.

Prior to coming to Adams Montessori, Andrea led a lower elementary classroom in North Carolina and returned to Massachusetts in 2019 to teach lower elementary at a Montessori school in Boston. In the classroom, she loves to study plants and animals, explore math concepts with hands-on materials, 'go out' into the community, and sing along with the ukulele or piano. She is passionate about developing strong community, relationships, and social-emotional skills with the children in her classroom.

In her spare time, Andrea enjoys traveling, making music, and spending time outside hiking, camping, or relaxing by the water. She believes that Montessori empowers children to develop for themselves the independence, confidence, love of learning, and inner compass that will release their potential and ‘transform them into the world.’

"Every child deserves a champion; an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be." - Rita Pierson
